TERMS OF SERVICE

The Hidden Gazebo Eatery
Effective Date: October 26, 2026
Welcome to The Hidden Gazebo Eatery, a family-run culinary experience founded by Chef Noura Bishay and Chef Samia Khair in Lemon Grove, California.
Our mission is to create a place where guests can slow down, experience Egyptian culinary traditions, connect through food, and feel genuinely welcomed.
These Terms of Service govern your use of our website, reservations, dining experiences, private-chef services, classes, and special events. By using our website or making a reservation, you agree to the terms applicable to your booking.
1. Our Experiences
The Hidden Gazebo Eatery offers reservation-based culinary experiences, which may include:
-
Seven-course tasting experiences.
-
Twelve-course Pharaoh’s Feast.
-
Twenty-four-course Hide & Seek culinary adventure.
-
Private dining and private-chef experiences.
-
Cooking and baking classes.
-
Seasonal celebrations and special events.
Our cuisine draws inspiration from Egyptian and Mediterranean culinary traditions, with seasonal ingredients and garden-inspired elements.
Menus, ingredients, prices, experience formats, and availability may vary. The details presented for your selected experience at the time of booking will govern your reservation.

2. Reservations and Availability
The Hidden Gazebo Eatery operates by reservation. A reservation is confirmed only after the required booking steps have been completed and any applicable payment has been received.
Guests are responsible for reviewing their selected experience, date, time, guest count, price, and applicable policies before completing a booking.
Submitting an inquiry does not guarantee a reservation.
Because our experiences involve advance preparation and limited seating, we may be unable to accommodate walk-ins, unconfirmed additional guests, or last-minute changes.
Please contact us as early as possible if your plans change.

3. Pricing and Payments
Prices will be displayed on the applicable experience page, booking platform, or written proposal.
Any applicable taxes, service charges, event fees, travel charges, or other costs will be disclosed before payment.
The Hidden Gazebo Eatery does not charge a separate $50 reservation fee under this policy. Any other deposit or advance payment required for a particular event or customized service will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
For customized private dining and private-chef services, pricing may depend on the guest count, menu, location, travel, staffing, and other agreed-upon arrangements.
If a genuine pricing error is identified, we will contact the affected guest to resolve it appropriately.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
We understand that plans can change. However, our limited seating, advance food preparation, and ingredient purchases make timely notice important.
Unless a different cancellation policy is expressly disclosed and agreed upon for a particular event, the following policy applies to guest-initiated cancellations:
More than 48 hours before the reservation
Guests who cancel more than 48 hours before their scheduled reservation are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid for the booking, subject to applicable law and any separately disclosed terms that lawfully apply.
Between 24 and 48 hours before the reservation
Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled reservation may incur a cancellation charge equal to 50% of the applicable booking amount.
Less than 24 hours before the reservation
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled reservation may incur a cancellation charge equal to 100% of the applicable booking amount.
Any refund will be calculated based on the amount paid and the cancellation terms applicable to the booking. We will not impose a charge that is prohibited by applicable law.
To cancel or request a change, contact us using the contact details provided in your reservation confirmation. We recommend keeping written confirmation of your request.
Cancellation requests are assessed according to when we receive the request, not when we respond.
Changes to Reservations
Date changes, time changes, menu substitutions, and guest-count changes are subject to availability and may affect the price.
A requested change is not confirmed until we approve it in writing.
Cancellations by The Hidden Gazebo Eatery
If we must cancel a confirmed experience, we will notify affected guests and provide an appropriate refund or alternative arrangement in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the booking.
Nothing in this policy limits any refund rights or other consumer protections that cannot legally be waived.

5. Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Please arrive at your confirmed reservation time so that we can provide the intended experience.
Late arrivals may affect the sequence, timing, or duration of your dining experience. Contact us as soon as possible if you anticipate being late.
If a guest does not arrive and has not contacted us, the reservation may be treated as a no-show. Any resulting charge or refund restriction will be applied only where it was disclosed in the applicable booking terms and is permitted by law.
6. Dietary Needs and Allergies
We welcome advance communication about dietary preferences and restrictions. Depending on the experience, we may be able to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary requests.
Guests must communicate known food allergies and significant dietary restrictions before their reservation.
Our food-preparation areas may handle common allergens, including nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, fish, and shellfish. Although we will make reasonable efforts to address disclosed concerns, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment or eliminate all risks of cross-contact.
Guests with severe or potentially life-threatening allergies should contact us before booking so we can discuss whether their needs can be accommodated safely.
If we cannot reasonably accommodate a requested dietary requirement, we will communicate this to the guest.
7. Menus and Ingredient Availability
Our menus reflect the culinary vision of Chefs Noura and Samia and may incorporate seasonal produce, garden ingredients, and specialty products.
We may make reasonable substitutions when ingredients become unavailable or when quality, safety, or other operational considerations require a change.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes affecting a confirmed experience.
Menu descriptions and photographs illustrate the character of our offerings; actual presentation may vary.
8. Outdoor Dining and Garden Safety
Our garden setting includes natural features that may include uneven pathways, steps, plants, water features, insects, and changing weather conditions.
Guests should communicate accessibility requirements or other needs before their visit so we can discuss available accommodations.
Outdoor experiences may be affected by rain, extreme temperatures, wind, or other safety concerns. If weather makes the planned experience impractical, we will communicate available alternatives. These may include an adjusted experience, rescheduling, or another appropriate resolution.
An indoor or covered alternative is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.
9. Guest Conduct and Property
We strive to maintain a peaceful, welcoming environment.
Guests agree to treat our chefs, staff, other guests, and neighbors respectfully; follow reasonable safety instructions; and respect the garden, plants, artwork, antiques, furnishings, and other property.
Guests must supervise children and any individuals in their care.
To the extent permitted by law, guests may be responsible for damage resulting from their intentional misconduct or negligence.
We may end an experience if a guest creates a serious safety risk or substantially disrupts others. Any resulting charge or refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the applicable booking terms.
10. Children and Minors
Children may attend experiences where permitted by the specific booking arrangements.
A parent, guardian, or responsible adult must supervise minors throughout the visit, particularly near garden pathways, water features, cooking equipment, and other areas that may present risks.
Please notify us in advance if children will attend so we can discuss seating and menu arrangements.
11. Private Dining and Special Events
Private dining, private-chef services, cooking classes, celebrations, and special events may have additional conditions relating to guest counts, staffing, travel, menus, deposits, payment schedules, and cancellations.
Any additional conditions will be communicated in the applicable proposal, event description, invoice, or booking confirmation.
If event-specific terms differ from these general terms, the expressly agreed event terms will govern that booking to the extent permitted by law.
12. Gift Cards and Promotional Offers
Gift cards, discounts, complimentary offers, and promotional packages are subject to their disclosed conditions.
Any restrictions concerning scheduling, advance reservations, combinations with other offers, or promotional availability will be communicated when the offer is issued.
Gift cards and promotional offers will be handled in accordance with applicable California and federal law. Nothing in these terms is intended to waive legally protected consumer rights.
13. Photography, Video, and Marketing Consent
We may invite guests to participate in photographs or videos that showcase our cuisine, garden, events, and hospitality.
We will seek appropriate consent before using identifiable guest photographs or videos for marketing or promotional purposes.
Consent to marketing photography is separate from the purchase of a reservation and is not a condition of dining with us.
Guests may decline promotional photography without affecting their reservation.
Where appropriate, we will provide a separate photo and video consent form explaining the intended uses of the images or recordings. Guests may ask questions about the proposed use before giving consent.
We will handle photographs and recordings in accordance with applicable law and the terms of any consent provided.
Guests should respect the privacy of other diners and obtain their permission before photographing or recording them in a manner that intrudes on their privacy.
14. Website Content and Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise indicated, original website content, photographs, branding, written descriptions, menu designs, and other materials are owned by or used with permission by The Hidden Gazebo Eatery.
You may use our website for lawful personal purposes, including learning about our services and making reservations.
You may not reproduce, distribute, commercially exploit, or modify protected content without permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party trademarks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
15. Third-Party Booking and Payment Platforms
We may use third-party platforms to manage reservations, event registrations, payment processing, and communications.
Those platforms may have separate terms and privacy policies. Guests should review any terms presented during the booking process.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep our cancellation information consistent across our website and booking platforms. If terms specific to a booking differ, the terms clearly presented and agreed upon for that transaction will be considered alongside applicable law.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibilities or consumer rights that cannot legally be disclaimed.
16. Privacy
We collect and use personal information in connection with website visits, reservations, payments, guest communications, and requested services.
Our separate Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices and rights available to guests.
By using our website, you acknowledge that our Privacy Policy applies to the relevant collection and use of your information, subject to applicable law.
17. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, The Hidden Gazebo Eatery will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from website use or a dining experience where such liability may lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or other matters for which liability cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Guests remain responsible for communicating relevant dietary or safety concerns and supervising minors in their care.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service to reflect changes in our services, booking practices, or legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date.
Changes will not retroactively alter a confirmed reservation where doing so would violate applicable law or the agreement governing that booking.
19. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, except where another law is required to apply.
Any dispute will be handled by a court with appropriate jurisdiction, subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer rights.
